Lunch
Before I begin, I will draw your attention to the results of the rooftop vote, to the left here. Picture number 9 sneaks in by a narrow margin, and sits proudly in the favourite spot in the sidebar. Voting is now open on the latest round.
Well... After a long break, and still without at-home Blogger access, I'm back. I think the images on show today give away how much of a lunch 'break' we all manage to take, as, indeed, does the number of images in the gallery.
Anyway, you're in no position to complain because this weekend (28th of July) will see the posting of the 'sunlight' pictures - a posting which will say as much about our weather as this post does about our workload, I expect. You have almost a week left for that, so please try and get a last-minute picture in if you haven't sent one so far.
Some of you think it's childish, I know, but I still believe in the old legend that tells of a time when the sky was literally blue. The sun's dull glow burst out so furiously that people said it was like 'rays' of light that, unlike feeble raindrops, could 'pour' through windows. Perhaps some Campus Lookers' elderly relatives will have pictures from that time stored in their attics: I would certainly accept them along with more recent scenes.
After that, on the weekend of the 4th of August, I will be posting another 'Extras' gallery. Any photos, new or old, relating to past challenges will go in there, so if you have some that weren't ready at the original deadline, send them in.
Finally, then, your new challenges:
Challenge Number 7: green (deadline 18 August) - something the rain will have helped with.
Challenge Number 8: concrete (deadline 1 September)
Do remember to try and capture the campus in some way with your pictures, and feel free to interpret the challenges broadly.
Ok, lunch time: click the images for enlargements, hit F11 in Internet Explorer for a full screen.
Don't forget to vote for your favourite!
